June Rocks!

I had a special request for a traditional sock with a warm silk-blend, and the new Socks that Rock Silkie came knockin'! How did they know! And now, good deed done, I can order a new Silkie colorway for the grasshopper pattern :). These are garter rib, Addi 2, short row heel (still looking for that perfect heel...), enjoyed the colors and silk sheen. Laura D

How did you like working with the Socks That Rock yarn? I just received some and love the colors, but I haven't gotten to knit them yet. What colorway did you use?

I loved working with this yarn. It's the new Silkie silk and merinor combo. The colorway is the club color "walking on the wild tide," but I think they are all beautiful. I used a size 2 needle, and like the feeling of the fabric. Most people seem to use a 1, so if you like a firmer sock you may want to, too. I also found that there was no problem with the amount of yarn. I did make these toe-up just in case. (they are a women's m/l -- I wear a 9 shoe and they just fit). What colorways are you going to try? The monsoon mediumweight yarn was lovely, too.
