Two February Pairs
Hiya, I'm new to SAM, but not to socknitting. :)
Earlier this month, I finished a pair of Mermaids.
And two days ago I completed some Fluted Banisters. These are extra special because the yarn was gifted by a secret pal last summer, and because these were unintentionally a UFO for quite a while.
Cheers :)

Both socks are beautiful but I LOVE those Mermaids!!! I have a yarn that would really shine in that pattern. Thanks for sharing and beautiful work!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and letting me know that you had just completed a pair of socks using the same yarn as my recent socks. Your socks are great and it is amazing how differently they look from mine.
I have not ventured into doing much more than basic knitting. You inspire me to break out of my box and try something different.
I love those socks! Especially the Mermaid socks.
I agree with everyone else -- love both pairs of socks, especially those Mermaids!
You knit great socks! I love them both. Are the Mermaid socks from Cool Socks Warm Feet?
Wow, both pairs are fantastic. But I'm especially impressed by the Mermaid socks. Absoloutely stunning.
Thanks everyone! :)
The Mermaids are indeed from Neatby's book Cool Socks, Warm Feet. I love this pattern for the effect it has on striping yarn.
I too love, love, love the mermaids! It is sort of a weird co-incidence, as I just posted on my blog last nice that Lucy Neatby is coming to a lfs near where I lived, and low and behold, the very next day, her sock pattern is in the Sock a Month! Very nice! Love the colours, love the pattern!
Gorgeous Mermaid socks! I'm going to have to check that book out. I love the browns of your Fluted Bannister too.
I know Mermaids when I see 'em. Gorgeous! I keep meaning to make a pair for me.
I love that mermaid pattern. How many stitches did you cast on? I made a pair with 60 and it was too tight! I haven't ripped to start over with 66 yet, but I'd love to know how many you used. Great socks!
Great effects on those fluted bannister socks :)
OOps, I meant the mermaids :).
I'm sure the fluted bannisters are lovely too tho...
