June and July Socks!
These are the socks I finished at the tail end of June (please credit if it's not way too late--I did blog them, but I had no photo then). Cider Moon Glacier yarn in colorway Andromeda, size 2 Inox dpns. I used the Priscilla Gibson-Roberts toe and heel. I can't remember where I ordered this skein. I knit toe-up, and that's all the cuff I could squeeze out of the skein for my size 10.5 feet.
Mid-July socks from sKNITches self-striping yarn in "sKNITch," size 0 Inox dpns, P G-R toe and heel, toe-up. Great yarn. It's both pretty and excellent to work with. I got mine from The Sweet Sheep, who has great customer service and a wonderful yarn selection.
Late-July socks in Regia Cotton Surf color 5412 (probably no longer available, acquired in 2005, I think). Visible from space, they're so bright. knitted on a size 2 40" Addi turbo circular, Magic Loop method. The pattern is a free one (Tidal Wave) from Southwest Trading Company, designed to be used with the company's TOFUtsies yarn. I have a ball of TOFUtsies and started a pair with this pattern, but the yarn and I did not get along.I'm looking forward to SAM KAL4 and am busily working on more socks!

My July Socks
Here's my brother's elderly cat who's come to live with me and who helped me finish the socks he's modeling.
Plain socks to complement my Mystery Stole 3 knit with Regia Mini Ringel Color in colorway 5219 (if Ferbe means color). Knit on US zeros, the strips line up nearly perfectly until the very tip of the toes, where one ends in dark blue and the other in red.
This knit-along has been great fun. Thanks everyone! VBG

Under the wire!
Here are my July socks, just in time! I finished them about a week ago and have just put off getting them posted. They are from a sock of the month kit. Pattern Daylilies, and used Tufutsie yarn and size 1 needles- I broke a needle while knitting these!! More pictures of what I have been working on on my blog spot www.knit1together.blogspot.com.

Happy Socks
I call these my Happy Socks for several reasons. #1 I'm happy to be done with them #2 I happy to be rid of them. They were knit as a gift, but i just did not like the colors. #3 The recipient is happy with them. Very much so. It's inspired her to get knitting her own socks. #4 I'll be happy if I never knit with self striping yarn again. #5 My balls (yarn balls, that is) looked so happy after I saved them from sheer ugliness in one pattern, I frogged them and turned them into these Happy Socks. A simple 2 by 1 rib with short row toe and heel flap/gusset. I used to balls of Zitron Lifestyle. A great yarn to work with. This is my second pair. I would recommend the yarn even though I swore off self striping.
P.S. I keep attempting to load my photo and I can't so I will attempt again tomorrow. It is on my flicker account http://flickr.com/photos/74081485@N00/763434742/in/set-72157600044367278/

2 Pairs for July
I knit 2 1/2 pairs in July (my Sockapalooza socks are almost done):
These are Teosinte socks made with Black Bunny Fibers yarn.
My second pair was a plain stockinette pair of Gryffindor socks knit with dharmafey's cosmic fibers yarn
I had a great time with this knitalong. I'll probably see you for Sock a Month 4. Thank you Chrissy, Stariel and Karen, for being such great hosts!

2 pairs for July (last minute post ...)
Ok, not much, but still (considering I had an accident at the beginning of July) a nice set (by the way, I actually finished 3 pair this month the one of them went hiding and I have no pictures yet, still need to track down the socks!).

July Breeze
My July pair was a breeze. Breeze, that is from the summer 07 Knitty. I knit these with KnitPicks Bare yarn that I had dyed with kool-aid on KnitPicks 2.75mm needles. I don't like the way the colors turned out so I'm planning to overdye them with blue food coloring.
I've enjoyed being part of this kal, so I've signed up for samkal4. Hope to see you all there too!

My July socks
In July I finished two pairs of socks.
The first one goes to my Sockapalooooza pal and I really hope that she will like these socks:
The second pair is just for me and it is the first time that I "designed" a pattern on my own. I used hand-painted yarn from Wollmeise, called Miss May:

I wasn't sure I would finish these before the end of the month! They are for my son and he was quite excited to have his first hand knitted socks from Mom.

July Socks
Well here they are ! My final contribution to this SAM3. I came upon this KAL late and only joined in March . I've knit a pair of socks for every month except June. Life got in the way that month . I've constantly been amazed at the variety of patterns and yarns that have been knit up . I'll be continuing on for The SAM4 and look forward to seeing the efforts of the next batch of KALers .
Details: Math Whiz socks by Anne Hanson of Knitspot . The yarn is Opal Neon , colour 1931 . I knit them with 2mm DPNs . The only change I made was that I substituted a heel flap heel for the short row heel called for in the pattern. I can't do a decent short row heel to save my life ! These are intended for my sock pal in the Sockapalooza 4 . Loved the pattern and will probably knit it again .
My apologies for not providing the links . I still haven't figured out how to make a link in the blog post . If anyone cares to enlighten me , I'd be happy to accept your help . Thanks !

July Finished!
I have a pair of socks done!!! WOOT!!! I actually finished these about a week and a half ago, but tried posting, and it didn't work. Unfortunatley, I do not have a picture. They are my SockaPalooza pal's socks! They are done with Henry's Attic Kona yarn and US 3 circs. They are my own pattern, and I love that they are DONE!!!
Hugs,
tammy
Tidal Wave
I've been slow in posting these - but here are my Tidal Wave socks from Tofutsies, finished in July! I have a lot of Tofutsies left over, so if I'm as hooked on this yarn as I suspect I will be I'll need to come up with other things to do with Tofutsies, or find some children who need soysilk socks. It's a really pretty yarn, and knits up quickly.
These were the May/June socks for my LYS Sock Club. I even won a kit to make a second pair at May's meeting!

2nd Pair for July!
Wow, I managed to finish another pair of socks this month. Good thing, too, because these are for my Sockapalooza pal & we need to send them out this week, I think. :D
The pattern is Periwinkle Socks by Lisa Dykstra, and I used the called-for Panda Cotton, in the Strawberry-Lime colorway. The pattern is super easy and was very simple to remember, and I like the length of the cuff, despite usually being a short-cuff girl. The yarn is a joy to work with, and I tried the 1st sock on when I finished it just to see if I'd like it enough to make some of my own. I do. :) I will be knitting this pattern, and with this yarn, again in the future. :) The yarn doesn't break the bank (I paid $6.75 for a ball... so $13.50 for a pair!), either, so if you're on a budget, I think it would work for you. I knit these for a US Size 7, though, and had about 6g total left of yarn, so if your feet are bigger than that, I'd get a 3rd ball just in case (might be able to get away w/ knitting a 7.5 out of it, but it'd be pushing it!).

Roses and Ivy
This is my second pair for July. It is a toe up version of Cookie A's Hedera pattern. The variegated yarn doesn't show off the stitch pattern to its best advantage but I still like the results. It is a really fun and easy pattern to knit - I like it so much I will have to knit is again in a solid color yarn. For full details see my blog.
Happy Knitting

July Zephyr socks
I finished my July socks a couple of weeks ago, so it's about time I got around to posting them!!
These are Zephyr Socks from Domesticat, knit with Cherry Tree Hill Supersock. You can find out more at my blog. And I hope to see you all for Sock A Month 4!!
Karen
waiting almost 'til the last minute
Well, I'm happy to say that I get to count my July socks twice - first for SAM3 and also for Sockapalooooza4! :)
These are the Chalet Socks from Folk Socks by Nancy Bush. I used about 105 grams of Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sport (so about 1.5 skeins) in Bold Red. My gauge was a bit tighter than that required for the pattern, I ended up getting between 8 and 8.5 spi on size 2.75 mm needles. It still ended up being quite roomy.

July Finish
I'm finally to post my socks that I finished this month. They are based on LynneH's Fast Florida Footies. I changed the gauge and used Regia Jaquard. I then added a couple of rows of K1P1 ribbing after row 8, and also changed the foot to all knit. DD is very pleased with how they turned out.
Thanks for looking!

July, and I am spent!!!!!
Woo hoo! I finished my July socks!!! (I totally just wrote this post and it malfunctioned and deleted it, grrrr blogger!) Anyways, I did all 6 pairs and I am proud of myself, but I don't think I will join the next round. I didn't like the "pressure" of having to finish by the end of the month. It made me hold off on more complicated patterns. I will definitely continue to watch, since I love seeing what everyone else is up to! Ok, so here are my socks!
Stats:
Yarn: Claudia’s Handpainted - Blue Fields
Pattern: Sockbug’s River Rapids
Needles: Size 2 DPNs
Started: June 24, 2007
Completed: July 27, 2007
I think that these are my favorite socks yet! They fit wonderfully! They go great with jeans! I started these on vacation out west in Wyoming and South Dakota. They really mirrored the colors of the landscape, which I really enjoyed! I love when things match!

Monkey Off My Back
Yeay! Just made it barely in time. I would have finished sooner, but... details on my blog.

Final Socks
I finished these at the beginning of the month, but have just gotten around to posting. They're the infamous Waving Lace Socks from Interweave Favorite Knits. Fabulous Pattern! Loved it. Very easy to knit, but beautiful results. Yarn is Koigu Merino. Pics stink b/c of lousy lighting. Sorry 'bout that. In real life they are nearly deep purple. Love them!!
Well, I've really enjoyed SKAL3, my first one. Thanks so much to the hostesses for all their hard work. I've really enjoyed it!

PS... Today is my 45th birthday!!! Woot!!!
Ending SAM3 with 3!!!
Yes! Finished up 3 socks!
This one was started in May:
Embossed Leaves Socks by Mona Schmidt in Favorite Socks (as if you didn't know!)
yarn: Socks That Rock lightweight in Lemongrass
needles: 29" Inox greys 3.25mm to cast on, 2.75 for the rest until the toe which I did in 2.5mm
mods: I wanted something that reflected the twisted rib and I had just finished Pomatomus (see below) so I replaced the heel with that one. I really love it. Also, and not on purpose, I left out 1/2 of a repeat before the heel, but I'm ok with that.
LOVE THEM!!! And even though it looks as if it took me 2 months, it is really a quick knit. If you are one of the last people on Earth not to knit this (I thought I was), I really recommend it! You get to the point that you don't even look at the chart anymore because it just makes sense!
Next: started in mid June:
Pomatomus by Cookie A
yarn: Lana Grossa Meilenweit Cotton Spirit #3008
needles: 40" Inox Express 2.5mm
mods: Used the 1x1 rib cast on method from Embossed Leaves Socks from Favorite Socks.
LOVE THEM!!! The stripes aren't perfect but they are close enough for government work and I wasn't even trying!!
Finally, this one was started late in June (second try after first were too little):
Monkey by Cookie A
yarn: J-Knit Superwash Me Light in Louisiana
needles: I think 40" Inox Express 2.5mm for all except the heel which was done with 29" Inox grey 2.25mm
These are for my Sockapalooza 4 Pal and I hope she loves them as much as I do!
Looking forward to SAM4!!
