Not a Gentleman...

...but enjoying the Gentleman's Socks (with Lozenge Pattern) very much!

I haven't posted the finished socks on my blog quite yet, but you can read how I modified the pattern to fit my dainty size 7 1/2 feet here. I love these socks, and the yarn, which is Cherry Tree Hill Supersock in Java. Mmmmm, java. I wasn't sure I would be able to even finish in time for May, but these socks took me just 2 weeks from start to finish! Luckily that gives me a head start on June, which I'm gonna need...

ETA: Whoops, forgot to sign my post!

April's Pair done

I finished a pair last night that I've been working on for a while. They are made from Shelridge Farms Ultra Heather in a wonderful rusty red. The pottern is Seed and Rib from the free Web Socks pattern by Erica Alexander on the Interweave Knits site (not available right now, I hope it will return.) The pattern was easy, almost too easy, and the yarn was wonderful to knit with. I have more in eggplant and teal and may try the Horcrux socks next, or maybe the Gentlemen's Fancy socks, or maybe another sock from my new More SKS book, which I absolutely love. Too many options, not enough time in the day.....

This is the fifth pair of socks I've finished in 2007, and only two of them were started last year. I have a good start on 12 pairs, and a shot at 52 for the year. I have the Monkey socks on the needles in another wonderful Shelridge Farms hand paint.

Valentine Socks Done

Hi, I'm new to the KAL and this is my first entry. They are the Gentleman's Socks from Nancy Bush's; Knitting Vintage Socks. I knit them for DH for Valentine's Day and just manged to finish them last night after running out of yarn for the second toe. Sorry for the poor photo. I was going to take another photo this morning but he wore them to work! I added a little edging to the cuff to spice them up a bit. More info about these socks on my blog.
